Vision

To develop a powerful and resourced network of witnesses and survivors.

Displaced people should be treated with dignity and respect, given the same rights as those of us who were lucky enough to be born into safety, a world where the rights of those in need of protection, are respected and their voice matters as much as those of us born into safety. Our vision is a world where no violation goes unrecorded, and steps are taken to ensure adequate accountability and justice for those responsible and effected.

Our aim is to create a network of witnesses across Europe, that all volunteers, refugees and grass roots organistaions who are supporting displaced people throughout Europe have the skills and resources they need to ensure that no rights violation or unlawful violent incident goes un-recorded.

Protect

To care for those who bear witness to or experience human rights abuses. In our pursuit of justice, we are prepared to take all necessary steps to ensure the rights of displaced people, are upheld and protected.

• We protect & respect those who experience human rights violations, ensuring our methods and actions do not pose further risk or danger.

• We ensure our methodology has the essence of human rights at its core, respecting the rights of our partners

• We gather information to inform specific, sustainable and tangible change in the respect of the rights of refugees, asylum seekers and migrants

• We will utilise our resources accurately and ethically, to give a voice to those who would otherwise not be heard, informing those able to make real change possible

Empower

To empower those suffering human rights abuses and particularly those who witness them. To highlightthe significance of what they are experiencing. We will promote ethical, transparent education, helping those in fear to see the value in reporting the incidents in a safe and secure way. Listen to those whose rights are being violated. What do they want to see, what do they need? We are here to elevate those, whose voice is currently un-heard, not to replace it with ours.

• We teach the skills and supply the tools people need to speak out about human rights abuses, whether witness or victim

• We educate about the role of human rights in society, the role that we, as citizens, have in protecting this system and the importance of calling out those in breach of it

• We act by example focusing on impact and direct action, in order to limit the effect of human rights violations, actively encouraging a network across Europe, empowering others to do the same

• We will use our unique network to amplify our message through collaboration and collective thinking

Expose

To expose the scale of rights violations against refugees, asylum seekers and migrants, both psychological and physical, forcing accountability of those responsible. We will unveil the situation, to allow transparency and understanding of the endemic disregard of human rights and the impact this has on individuals and society.

• We will strive for accuracy and always take an ethical approach to our investigations and research, allowing for maximum dissemination of our message

• We will expose the magnitude of and the endemic nature of human rights violations,re-framing the story

• We will endeavor to change perception with fact, through our network, so that human rights violations are no longer considered normal or common place, giving this issue the attention it needs to allow for the action that is required

• We will use our work and network, as a tool, through total transparency to force accountability of those responsible, both directly and indirectly of these violations
