Training and Resources

Training and resources

We are building a comprehensive training programme which will enable volunteers to identify and document human rights violations. Our training focuses on how to spot violations and how to record information in such a way that, if necessary, it can be used as evidence in court.

Volunteers who join our network will be trained in human rights and refugee law, the ethics of recording human rights violations, and the evidential standards required by the legal process. We want people to feel empowered and to realise that by working together we can ensure the rights of displaced people are respected.

We are also helping to build capacity among refugees and migrants themselves, providing them with the information and resources they need to record and report abuse. Our digital reporting system will make this possible for anyone equipped with a mobile phone.

We are currently working with several organisations in France and will be rolling out our programme to other crisis hotspots including Greece, Italy, Hungary and Serbia.
